Tournament Insurance is a must for every team. Whether your team is made up of little league rookies or seasoned high school players, tournament insurance is essential. Injuries can happen anytime—slips, collisions, or even unexpected accidents on the field. Having insurance means your players get the care they need without the stress of costly medical bills.

Eligibility and Registration

  • Who purchases for tournament insurance?

    Individuals who are running the tournament (i.e. Tournament Directors). They must purchase for all the teams participating in the tournament in order to have the tournament covered.

  • I’ve already purchase tournament insurance and need to add more teams. What is the procedure?

    You log in to your account and you will have a button to add more teams to the tournament. You can pay there as well.

General Coverage Details

  • Does the general liability policy cover lawsuits from athletic participants?

    Yes. This is crucial coverage, which is often excluded on other general liability policies.

  • Are waiver forms required in the general liability program?

    No. We strongly urge all participants to sign a waiver, but failure to do so will not jeopardize coverage.

  • Is the general liability policy written on an occurrence or a claims made form?

    An occurrence form. The occurrence form is preferred as coverage is not as broad on the claims made form.

  • We operate a concession stand at our tournament. Is general liability coverage included?

    Yes. General liability includes products liability (sale of food or beverages, excluding alcohol).

  • Is Sexual Abuse and Molestation (SAM) coverage automatically covered in the 2023 general liability insurance policy?

    No, SAM is an optional coverage that can be added via underwriting questions being answered which includes background checks on all adults with contact with minors. There is an additional charge of $1 per team in your tournament.
